SIX MAN WAR!

After the main event at the first ever Pro Wrestling Respect card on January 24th, 2010 the victorious Delirious offered his opponent Ricky Reyes his hand in respect. Reyes lived up to his dishonorable reputation and struck Delirious with a low blow and attempted to assault Delirious with a chair until Pelle Primeau came to the rescue. This set up Pelle vs. Reyes on March 14th, 2010 at Respect 2.

The match was hard fought but Pelle came up short against Reyes. After Reyes won the bout he continued to attack Pelle after the bell in an attempt to injure him permanently. This sent out Pelle’s good friend Grizzly Redwood who chased off Reyes with a huge stick and he then cashed in his Elevation Lottery win from a match earlier in the night to face Reyes at the next event. Grizzly’s goal was to not only elevate his career by facing Reyes but also to avenge the disrespect Reyes has continuously shown to Pelle and Pro Wrestling Respect in general.

Respect 3 then took shape with the main event of Grizzly Redwood vs. Ricky Reyes. When Respect 3 was announced, “Agent” Sly Stetson claimed it was a conspiracy that his client Celso Rivera was not in the main event seeing it was the obvious choice since Rivera has the best record on the Respect roster at 4-0. He guaranteed to do what it takes to get a major spot for his client and after doing his best to get his message out Stetson confronted Grizzly Redwood during an interview claiming Redwood did not deserve his main event spot with a 1 and 0 record and that his man Rivera deserves what he has. Redwood is fairly in the main event from his Elevation Lottery win at Respect 2 and Stetson seemingly jealous of Redwood said he would do what it takes to get his client into the main event.

After trying many different things Stetson was finally successful as Ricky Reyes agreed to a payoff to allow Celso Rivera to team with him at Respect 3. Reyes then challenged Grizzly to bring his friend Pelle Primeau saying that Stetson made it worth his while to team with Celso but the greater reward is the possibility of getting Pelle back in the ring with his goal being to cripple Pelle.

Pelle and Grizzly both agreed to the match. Days later the Pro Wrestling Respect Board of Directors issued a Statement saying that since all parties involved have agreed they will allow the tag team match to take place at Respect 3 but from this time forward no financial transactions will allow any individual a certain position and a warning was given to Stetson and his client that any other behavior like this is a violation and will not be tolerated.

As a result the new main event on June 6th, 2010 at Respect 3 was set with Grizzly Redwood and Pelle Primeau vs. Ricky Reyes and Celso Rivera with Sly Stetson.

At Respect 3 after the great 20 minute draw between Andy Ridge and his trainer Delirious, Stetson interrupted the two during the post match hand shake saying that the two men had been in the ring long enough and they should “hug and kiss in the locker room” cause it was now time for the main event. While Delirious and Ridge’s attention was on Sly, Celso and Reyes attacked both men from behind laying them out. Pelle and Grizzly then hit the ring and the main event was on!

After a fast paced ten minutes Reyes low blowed Pelle leading to the eventual victory for his team. Just like before and proving his threat to cripple Pelle was legitimate Reyes continued to beat Pelle after the match. This time both Celso and Stetson joined in on the attack obviously trying to make a statement and garner attention.

While the beating on Pelle continued, Austin Aries ran out and joined in on the gang style beatdown of Primeau. … Earlier in the night during the 10 Man Over the Top Rope Elevation Rumble the Ninja surprisingly won after eliminating Professor Shizo. The Ninja then unmasked to reveal 2 time ROH Champion Austin Aries! Aries said he won the match and is now elevated to the main event at Respect 4. He claimed he was in Respect to gain respect and to confront Delirious based off their heated feud in Ring of Honor.

As Aries, Reyes, Celso and Sly mercilessly attacked Primeau, Delirious and Ridge ran back out to save Pelle. The challenge was then made for a Six Man Tag Team War on July 18th, 2010.

Pelle Primeau, Delirious, & Andy “Right Leg” Ridge vs. Austin Aries, “The Cuban Crippler” Ricky Reyes, & Celso Rivera with Sly Stetson.

Pelle Primeau is doing everything in his power to make Reyes respect him and the company. Primeau has yet to stay down and Reyes has made it a goal to “keep him down for good.” On July 18th Pelle will have another chance to beat respect into Reyes. Reyes will have another chance to cripple Pelle and send him packing. The only difference this time is the combustible elements of the heated Delirious-Aries feud, the ROH Academy training history between Ridge and Celso, as well as the attention seeking actions of agent Sly Stetson.

With all these factors mixed in together this promises to be the biggest WAR in Respect’s short history!
